David Binswanger, Kevin Donohoe and Karen Elrod join the Board of Directors

Dragonfly Forest, Inc. is pleased to announce the following 3 new members to its Board of Directors:

David R. Binswanger - President and CEO, Binswanger
In 1997 Mr. Binswanger became President and CEO of Binswanger Companies and, in addition to his prominent role in Binswanger's Advisory group, took on the added responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the firm.

In his advisory capacity, Mr. Binswanger consults with multinational corporations such as British Petroleum (BP), representing them in the selection of sites for hundreds of service stations throughout Venezuela, domestic clients such as Jones Apparel Group of New York where he and his team structured a leaseback financing agreement for ownership conversion of their headquarters office in Bristol, Pennsylvania, and the State of New York where they provided appraisals and best-use analysis for 20 former New York State Department of Mental Hygiene hospital properties located on approximately 20,000 acres.  In the Philadelphia region, one example of his work involves Comcast where he provided complete headquarters acquisition, design and construction management services.

Mr. Binswanger joined the company in 1982 after receiving an MBA from Harvard Business School. Prior to that he worked for IBM as a systems engineer after graduating magna cum laude from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.  He is a founding member of the Wharton Business School Real Estate Center; a member of the Urban Land Institute; the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks; the International Council of Shopping Centers; the United Way; and the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO).

Mr. Donohoe launched The Kevin F. Donohoe Company, Inc. in April of 1983.  The Kevin F. Donohoe Company, Inc. is an organization committed to the development of and investment in quality, high-end office and retail properties.  The firm has concentrated on office buildings and regional shopping malls in the Eastern United States. 

Mr. Donohoe’s educational background includes a B.A. in economics from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Maryland.  He completed the Executive Program in Real Estate Investment Analysis at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  His multi-faceted real estate career began with several positions held at the family owned Donohoe Companies based in Washington, D.C. and proceeded as Real Estate Vice President for the Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company and continued as President, Chief Executive Officer of the American Metropolitan Development Corporation.

Mr. Donohoe supports various civic and cultural non-profit organizations.  He is Vice Chairman of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts; a Trustee of The Franklin Institute; a Trustee of the Lower Merion Police Pension Association; and former Chairman and a member of the Advisory Board of the Main Line YMCA.  Mr. Donohoe is also a member of The Urban Land Institute; The International Council of Shopping Centers; an Advisory Board Member of The Wharton Real Estate Institute; a past member and Chapter Chairman of The Young Presidents’ Organization; and a current member of The Philadelphia Presidents’ Organization, World Presidents’ Organization and Chief Executives’ Organization.

Karen Elrod
Karen Elrod is a graduate of Dickinson College and has worked in Human Resources and Organization Development for the last twenty years. Her initial career experiences include classic HR administrative and management responsibilities in tactical areas such as recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, labor relations, and employee relations. During the last fifteen years of her career, she expanded her reach and operated in more strategic roles: re-engineering, change management, general management, executive coaching, and culture building for the established and start-up businesses she served.  She now continues to provide consultative services and coaching to the CEO of her most recent employer, in addition to coaching executives from other business concerns.

In addition to her involvement with Dragonfly Forest, Ms. Elrod has served on the Advisory Board for Camphill Soltane, a life sharing educational community for young adults with developmental disabilities.  She also serves on the Brandywine Regional Youth Aid Panel.
