Be Prepared

Be Prepared" isn't just a catchy motto, it is also the driving force behind making sure that all of our kids taking part in the Dragonfly Away program are ready for fun.

“Prior to going to camp, we are going to make sure our kids have some very cool things to take with them,” says Rick Shultz, Dragonfly Forest Board Member and volunteer counselor. “Dragonfly Kids are going to be ready for action!“
Each Dragonfly Away camper will be provided with a Duffle Bag that can be used for packing their clothes and things to take to camp. They will also receive a Sports Pack that is perfect for carrying stuff around while at camp.

Some of the other items we will be providing the campers include a water bottle for proper hydration, a towel for use at the pool or shower and a flashlight to provide them some evening travel assistance (and fun in the bunks)!

Dragonfly Away is all about making memories that our campers can draw on when things get rough. So, to help keep the memories fresh, each camper will get an autograph pillow for their camp friends to sign and disposable cameras to capture fun moments.

And finally, our Dragonfly Kids will be sporting what all “well dressed” campers “must have” including a Dragonfly tie dyed shirt, Dragonfly leisure pants and a cool Dragonfly bucket hat.
